MEAA 2017 Workplace Stress Survey

Workplace stress is a health and safety issue.

Heavier workloads, reduced staff numbers, and increased business metrics have seen a rise in workplace stress across newsrooms in print and broadcast.

Employers have a duty of care to provide a safe workplace that includes employees’ mental health.  Unfair KPIs and excessive workloads are increasing stress for journalists, which is impacting on their health and relationships.

This survey will help MEAA to develop a picture of how stressed our newsrooms are.

The survey will only take a couple of minutes to complete and is completely confidential is for the purpose of gathering data to show the affect of stress in newsrooms.
